David,

According to my Colnago catalogs, the '84 Arabesque was the first to sport the clover. However, Arabesque's clover was a gold plated inlay. The next bike to sport the more "panto'd w/contrasting paint" style was the '86 MTB Master frameset, not the road version. IN '87, the MTB Super received it. In '89 the Conic SLX received it. In the very early '90s all the road bikes sported it.

Along the same line, in/on what year(s)/model(s) did the non-fluted seat stay caps display the clover (or club, if you prefer), instead of the name, "Colnago"? Dvae Van Hook Hershey
