Matt,

It first I thought I had an answer of sorts for the origin of the "speedy" tubing. I went back to the email I revieved from Nelson Miller who a few days ago responded "The "speedy" tubing was made in Mexico by the Gonzales tubing Co." For a few days I've been wondering how the hell Mexican tubing made it into a French built Rene Herse frame. Duh!

"Speedy Gonzales" from Mexico! I missed the little smiley face after his responce. Smart alec! I guess it's been too long since I've watched cartoons on Saturday morning.

I'm guessing the tubing is something French. If not, I'm willing to accept the previous explaination from Nelson; heck why not, it makes "sense". ;-)

Brian Baylis La Mesa, CA I'm not as stupid as I look......I actually much stupider!
