Once it is stuck in there, all bets are off. If it is not stuck, I always
made sure that I pulled straight up, never twist. If it is stuck, you do
whatever it takes to get it out, penetrating oil, knock it around, etc.
More than once on my life did I saw off a stem, heat it up, and pour it out.
