of course, the best thing to do, from a selfish point of view, is to live NOT like confente, but like picasso: i.e., until you are 90, and producing, according to the biographies, 50,000 pieces of work.

I won't get into the countless beautiful lovers thing.

there are those (such as PP) who somehow can finesse the extraordinary prices at market and still produce a prolific amount of pieces.

I wonder who the equivilient in the bike world might be. were one to say colnago, an artist or bicycle person might argue that the difference is that picasso never (or less often?) produced work for the sake of the market or production efficiency, as brian might suggest. I don't know.

50,000. if you do the math on that, it's, well, a lot of work, every day. even for a 90 year old guy!
