I agree with Brian and will add another point to back it up, since it was
raised in the earlier post. As an electrician/lighting designer, I can assure
you that most (not all, most) customers look at the "job" very differently
than I do. Further, there are a lot of "electricians" getting fully paid to
do work that will likely result in repairs, years down the road. Usually due
to either: not caring, not knowing any better, or just having plain old
sloppy standards.
The fourth frame I made was assembled and ridden (by me) without paint for
two years. The only attention it gathered was "kind of an ugly bike...there's
no paint on that is there?!" When I finally got it painted, it started
getting attention. Most (not all) people don't look past the paint (many
members of this list excepted).
