I owned a Francesco Cuevas and it was a beauty--made by THE MAN in early 80s for a show. Unfortunately I let my buddy J.D. Edwards talk me out of it and now he won't sell it back to me until Brian Baylis delivers him his new frame (please Brian, please). Since Cuevas built for almost 50 years, there are a lot more out there even if they don't all have his name on them. And, his finish work was not exactly precise in all cases---you have to like little file marks to appreciate it. So, you got the mystique of a guy who undoubtedly had been working around the world for decades, avoiding war and such, and who brought a wealth of experience to his hands. Who in the end made a few nice frames that ride and show very well. I'll buy one too if given the chance, but I won't bid $4000 on it. Lou Deeter, Orlando FL
