Brian and Group
I am new to this group. Been reading the post regarding Brian's announcement relative to the design, development, and production of a classic touring bike. I am a new-bee to classic bicycles and bicycle designs. I Ride a 1972 Gitane, Tour de France with Campy derailurs and hubs, Brooks saddle, the rest French stuff, but I am an engineer responsible for research and development of electrical interconnects, components and advanced production processes and methods for high reliability electro-mechanical and electro-optic devices.
Please do not interpret me as intrusive, but if I could lend assistance in the wiring of your electrical components as they apply to removable racks and other appendages I would be happy to do so. There is no reason why modern technology could not be incorporated into the concept, design, and development of a supper touring bicycle as I understand it be. There should be no reason for "tie wraps" and the like if the design is thought out during the conceptual stages. Once again please do not view me as intrusive while expressing these thoughts only wanting to be helpful.
Best of luck
