I heard a long time ago, (long enough ago to be on topic I hope) that the frame was a chassis by which you articulate the wheels. And that it's better to have 1st class wheels on a 2nd class frame, than vice versa. I don't want to belittle frames because I'm passionate about how great they can be, but as a framebuilder, I wanted people to not forget how important wheels and tires are. Everything goes through those two patches of rubber that are 1" square at best. I had some crummy Moroccan sew ups that made my bike feel terrible and cost me a crash. Stevan "No cheap tires!"
