Well, a few weeks back someone commented that I had not written about the frame building project, and that maybe it was harder than I anticipated. Well, I wanted to update the group on my progress. I decided to use no books, no videos, no assistance of any kind. I am using my brain and looking at bikes I own. Could be I am doing it all wrong, time will tell. So far I have also only used tools in my garage: A hack saw, Bench Grinder, Dremel, hand files, a felt tip marker, and a hand drill. I have the tubes mitered to fit into the lugs. I have cut some crude shapes into two of the lugs, not quite up to Mario's standards but I don't have tools small enough to do fine work (I guess I could go buys something here). I have started cleaning up the lugs. Pretty soon I am going to get to the point of pinning it together for brazing. I am making my own track drop outs from plate stock (not done yet). I have some photos if anyone is interested. I am not looking for a single word of advise on what I am doing wrong or right. I will build this thing in my own garage with only my tools and hands. I plan on painting it myself and I will bring it along in September to Pasadena. Sam DiBartolomeo Riverside, CA
