I bought a top-of-the-line Sutter a couple of years ago, 1974 or 75, near as I could figure. Silver with chromed lugs. And a very trick parts group. The cranks had the full Mexico treatment, with heavily reprofiled arms and milled spider arms. The brake arms were milled out with very clean slots all the way through.
Turns out Olmo made that Sutter frame, and the parts were typical of top-line Olmos for the period.
I vaguely remember seeing an early Colnago Super with a parts group something like this, about that same period, or even earlier...reprofiled cranks, heavily milled/slotted chainrings, and slotted brakes. This would have been before the first Colnago Mexico, but after Merckx's record ride. I suspect milled-out brakes were quite rare on early Colnagos, but I remember clearly that this one had them. I've never seen them stock on a Colnago since...I suspect that particular group on that particular frame was a short-lived thing.
Someone--Marc maybe?--mentioned to me that the slotted brakes on Olmos were famous for whining quite loudly on fast descents, the air moving through the slots made them sing, apparently..
