the masi article, cited here, was in june 71.
there was an EARLIER article entitled, "The Bikes the Stars Use", that depicted all the drilled out gee-gaws. it was from april 71. among other kweeeeel pics- a colnago head tube decal, pre-clover leaf 'thingy'. it was on a molteni-arcore team bike, one which read 'molteni' on the down tube.
