That's exactly it. He stomped the field into little bitty pieces
because he changed what it meant to train. If any of the other top
riders had used the same training methods Eddy did he wouldn't have
the record he does. It was the riders after Merckx who said, 'How
the hell did he do that". . . easy train well, race well. Eddy was
like a custom built race car in a stock car race. Today all the cars
are custom built race machines. I don't think anyone will ever match
Eddy's records, but I think that has as much to him being a training
trailblazer as a natural athlete and great cyclist.

Good ride with great cinnamon rolls and gossip in the middle. I recommend to anyone within driving distance to go on one of the rides.
