I have Raleigh/Weinmann's and "Schwinn Approved" Weinmann's as well as "Schwinn Approved" Dia-Compe and they all have the little link (protrusion that fits in slot) Some of the regular Dia-Compe's have this and some don't. I've seen decent levers from Weinmann and Dia-Compe as well as some really cheap ones. The really cheap Dia-Compe levers are truly awful and probably don't help the braking.
Does anyone have NOS plastic caps for the little protrusion that goes on the back of the one caliper arm. (not sure it makes a lot of difference-but it seems to be the most delicate part on the caliper).
