This bike came with tubulars, so anything you do with clinchers would not be correct anyway. I would get some Mavic Open CDs. I never liked those rims you have on it.

Hi,
The first of a series of questions as I try to get myself back on the road.
I need advice from all of you wheel experts out there. What rims for my 81 TI-Raleigh? I have Campagnolo Record 1982 LF Hubs - 36 holes, Maillard Course six-speed (also about 82) freewheel, and Weinmann 250 Concave rims. The rims have served me faithfully for 20 years but I would like something a little lighter in weight and more in keeping with what should be on the bike. I have never ridden tubs - always clinchers. What is the general recommendation?
I don't want to spend a small fortune!
