10 Days ago I rode the LAMB ride in Vt on my RB1 newly outfitted with a 52-38-24 crank and a 12-28.{And my CR jersey with temps in the high 80's} Lincoln, Appalachian, Middlebury and Brandon Gaps.112 miles. Lincoln was first and the most difficult, they advertise it as 22% average grade with steeps spots of 34%. Many people walked, my less than 1 to1 was still very difficult. The descents were too steep and tight cornered to be much fun except for Brandon. I did manage to get up to 51 mph on Appalachian before the hairpins started.I did this ride 15 years ago and felt better this time.Steve
