Proper posting:

Two ideas/pleas, borne out of my experience with the list in digest mode:

1. Cut or delete entirely the message to which you are replying. It is very tiresome to wade through lengthy quotes from previous posts trying to find the new post.

2. If you have a specific question or somesuch, it is a good idea to cc the original poster. Because of time constraints, I look over the table of contents of the digest and read only what is of interest. I may miss somebody's post in response to mine. If I don't reply, it is not arrogance, but I simply didn't see it...

C'est tout, mes amis,

Jan Heine, who enjoys the CR list as the only bike-related list that I have not dropped due to high volume in Seattle

Since I don't have time to read each post (I get the list in digest form), it is not a bad idea to cc me in a reply to the list to one of my posts. I may overlook your post otherwise, which would be embarrassing if it contains a question
