Back in the 80's, De Rosa came out with a series of 'reissues' of past frame designs and paint jobs. They were sold almost exclusively to the Japanese market. They even sourced correct period components that were then still available. I think it might be harder to get the builders to supply the components nowadays, but I would imagine that some of the smaller frame shops would be willing ot do this if there was a comensurate price.

If the factories are not interested, would a private master builder accept a
custom order for a frame that was an exact DNA-matched clone to a 1972
Colnago Super?
