This is indeed a nice looking bike. I don't think that the reserve price is even that outrageous. If you were to put a name like Bianchi, Ganna, Dei or such in the place of Sandrini, nobody would flinch at the reserve. Apart from the obvious careful repaint, it does have a few other parts that are not fully in keeping with an 'original' bike, but it does capture much of the period. The brakes look very suspect, much too modern. The BB axle is also likely improper (more likely to have been hollow). The toe clips are also of much more modern production. Anybody want to comment on the stem, with its open end? What about the width of the pedals?
