There's a picture of the rear half of a trials bike in the Japanese Herse book. It looks like they removed weight anywhere they could. The saddle leather is drilled out a lot. Toe clips have cut outs. The front rod changer has a shortened rod. The lever for the rear derailleur is mounted at the top of the seat tube a la demontable. Pedals look like Berthet, but are drilled out. The pump is shortened. The fender has been reduced in width. I can believe they got the weight down and the bike would only last a few events.
