We need a pic of the early Record lever, with different lever shape. (I think I still have one of these at home)

While contemplating the whole Campagnolo brake lever thing last night, I've come to the conclusion that what I was remembering must have been a late version of the SR lever, even though it was paired to a set of Victory calipers on the bike I stripped it all from. I seem to recall several details being of "lesser" quality than the SR lever I was used to. Alas, all sold now, so no actual components to examine.

However, as promised, I've posted comparison pics of three generations of Super Record single bolt seat posts, and a bunch of brake levers, for your amusement, education, bewilderment or annoyance -- depending on your persuasion. Not that there's anything wrong with that! :)

(Marc - hope you're not still having the problem. Don't know what's up with that. Sorry. I think it was only you, and I'm afraid to send you another email!)
