The one on the far right is the original Nuovo Super Record, the polished one in the middle is from the last couple of years of SR production (I first saw one fall 1985), the one on the left, the intermediate model, was around the longest. Interesting things about the early one: pearl anodized upper and lower clamp, no washer under bolt head, slightly thicker, less camfrered bolt head. Middle and late versions used the same clamps and hardware and the clamps were not polished and anodized. I seem to recall several details being of "lesser" quality than the SR lever I was used to. Alas, all sold now, so no actual components to examine.
However, as promised, I've posted comparison pics of three generations of Super Record single bolt seat posts, and a bunch of brake levers, for your amusement, education, bewilderment or annoyance -- depending on your persuasion. Not that there's anything wrong with that! :)

(Marc - hope you're not still having the problem. Don't know what's up with that. Sorry. I think it was only you, and I'm afraid to send you another email!)
