Pete,

Welcome aboard! Ramona? I didn't know there were any vintage folk out there. You need to make your way down to the monthly vintage rides from Balboa Park in San Diego. Also come on out and hang around with some of the rest of the So. Cal. crowd. Every so often there are gatherings of various people at various places. You simply must not miss Velo Rendezvous in Pasadena this comming Oct. I'll even make sure you get to meet John Pergolizzi in person; for a fee of course!

I remember Ramona fondly as a kid. I used to get the real "soda fountain" cherry coke at that corner drugstore when we would visit my friends' grandmother in Ramona back in the 60's. Perhaps we can ride out there some time. Ramona involves a hill higher than the banking of a velodrome so I'll be taking a limo out there; but I'll meet you guys for lunch somewhere ;-).

Looking forward to meeting you soon. I think we're going to gather later this month; try to make it down. Keep an eye on the list for the announcement from Sterling Peters.

BTW, whatcha ridin'?

Brian Baylis La Mesa, CA Sunny and warm in La Mesa; that usually means it's around 200 degrees in Ramona.
