Brian,
I don't want to show it bare because it has many flaws, that is what learning
is about. I am not trying to prove anything I am just trying to have fun. I
enjoy painting so I am going to paint it. I brazed the lugs and used an old
trick my Dad used to do 20 years ago I kept a wet rag near by and as I brazed
I kept it hot enough to flow but not hot enough to flow away and wiped with
the wet rage to remove the excess, then I did not have to sand much. I used
a small grinder on the rear stay bridges and the areas were far from perfect.
I am not shooting for perfection I am shooting for the experience of
building a frame and so far I have succeeded. Anyone who thinks that I am
making a work of art will change their mind once they see it -- painted or
otherwise. Sam D. Riverside CA and it is still really hot here I just
spent 4 hours laying mortar in my new Sandstone patio I made and I have never
made one of those before either
