The CLB range have held two noteworthy features:

1) they had the lightest production brakes, bar none in the 70's. These had braided aluminium brake cables. 2) they offered the brake levers with the smallest reach available.

This meant that CLB was a great hit with women and those searching the lightest bike around.

Everybody else is correct, they are from France.
