Group--- sorry about the previous blank reply--- why is the brain the first thing to decompose?
About Constrictor--- I'll take some stuff out of my 1959 catalog, which I think was getting close to the end of their production. The company started out in the early 1900"s, being "recognised as the hall mark of everything best in lightweight cycle equipment". It was called "the Constrictor Tyre Co., LTD, London. "Conloy" was the brand name of their aluminum products. They named a lot of their items after snakes--- Asp, Viper, Cobra and Boaloy rims--- Asp and Adder Tyres-- and an assortment of assessories such as toe clips, straps, several types of pedals (including BOA), lamp brackets, and also the wonderful little bar end plugs that were attatched to a tube that stuck inside of the bar. You could carry your tyre repair kit, stash, or whatever in these little hidden capsules! They also were still carrying the Osgear derailleur system in the '59 catalog--- it lasted longer than I thought it did!
Hilary (with one "L", sorry)--- anything else to add?
Cheers--- Nelson Miller-- Seattle
