Yes, it does leave a more severe curve. I have always struggled to get the balance right without having a great curving or severely curved right cable. My TI is set-up with off-set cable braze-ons for the rear brake on the left hand side of the frame. This has largely dictated my set-up. Nevertheless, I think I have always ridden with right-front, left-rear - I find I prefer the greater touch control I can get with my dominant hand on the front brake. I am occasionally confused when I am on my recently purchased MTB which is set up oppositely.
