About 10 years ago, I bought a beautiful cutting board that was made by Chris Pauly. It was made of several strips of exotic hardwoods. Around that time I got some 531 stickers from Brother Pine who had gotten them from Pauly when he gave up frame building. About twenty years ago, I would go to the "Two Wheel Transit Authority" in Huntington Beach and drool on the Pauly Tierra. It was the fanciest touring bike I seen up to that point. Pump, fender, and racks were the same color as the frame. Brake cables were internal and the bar-end cable housing attatched with two rather than one braze-on. It was very neat. The frame was painted two shades of green, each one vile by itself, but together the effect was wonderful.
