There is a very good (and accurate!) web-site that has simply thousands of pro cyclist's racing career highlights. It is in Dutch and English, so anybody should be able to understand all the details.

To call up the record of any given rider, insert:

http://www.dewielersite.net/coureurs/ followed by the surname of the rider you are researching, followed by an underline and then the first initial, then a .htm to finish off.

As an example, to dig up Giovanni Battaglin's data, you could insert: http://www.dewielersite.net/coureurs/battaglin_g.htm for Romain Maes, you could insert: http://www.dewielersite.net/coureurs/maes_r.htm
