There have been questions about the possible differences between Universal 68 and Universal Extra brakes (captured below). I don't have any of the Extras, but I do have two different lengths of super 68s.
I like them very much. Nice looking, honest, great QR, etc. Several years ago, I measured the amount of cable travel for a standard amount of lever travel. The Universal lever moves more cable than anything else I measured. Given the low mechanical advantage of the side-pull, I think you will find, as I did, that nothing feels firmer than the Super 68 with Universal levers. A slight touch moves the pads a long distance. Of course, the price you pay is that you need a decent squeeze to slow down, since there is less mechanical advantage than any other combo I know of. Now, if we could just find decent lever hoods for them... like the originals.

Don't quote me on thsi, but I think the Super 68s are shorter reach that the
