Hello-
I might as well as throw in my two cents as well. A very long time ago, and I am talking over 30 years here, (that seems like a darn long time to me!) I worked in a bike shop along with its owner who happened to recieve an order of several high end bikes. They cost $400+ back then.
Two of them, a Cinelli SC and a Mirella Pro, had the exact same stock components, a full Campy NR grouppo with Univeral Super 68s. I know that others have had experience with these brakes, but the trick I learned to get the most out of these brakes was just to replace the stock brake cables with either the thicker Campys or Modolos.
I ended up using this approach on a 1974 Mondonico all the way up to 1987. While I went through another set of brakepads, I used the same cable arrangement and got bajillions of miles out of the Super 68s, humble as they might be. Cheers,
