In fact, I'm still using them, so as far as I'm concerned they're period correct for anything from the mid '70s up to the time arrives that the Phil Wood company refuses to replace the bearings. (How's that for a snide answer.) As far as 27" vs. 700c is concerned, I figure either is perfectly acceptable. A number of people who were "in the know"
used 700c in those days - that way they could switch between their tubulars and clinchers without having to re-adjust their brakes. Of course, you can choose to ignore my opinion based on my gaff relating to the Campy 980 front deragliatore. (On the other hand, there's more to come as far as that story is concerned...)
