Very nice original bike--worth a lot of $$, IMHO. I'm grateful it's not my size. ;-)

However, to be accurate, note that the buyer says he *bought* it from John Howard. He does not claim it was JH's "ride". FWIW, JH is much taller and rode, if memory serves, about a 60-61 cm road bike, so I doubt this 55 cm bike was his racing bike. Even if one might select a slightly smaller track frame than a road frame, the difference here is too much. I did the Specialized Allez/Campagnolo SR assembly for John Howard's 24-hour record ride in the early '80s and recall a much taller bike.
