> Medici SHOW bike!!! This is one of the bikes that was on display at
the N.Y. show @1980. Chrome "Gran Turismo" touring model with Campagnolo
Nuovo Record components CHROMED!!! ( cranks 170.52/42,chainrings,brake
calipers and levers,TTT handlebars) Don't get too excited because chrome
dosen't seem to last very long on aluminium. Most has flaked off (still
there between the teeth and on parts of the arms and a few other places)
the parts have show a fair amount ot corrosion (grayish/white finish as the
orig.anodizing was removed). She now sports a black anodized pantographed
TTT stem (not orig), rally rear der.,sm.fl.36hole FIR sludie rims, junk tires
Shimano(I'm sorry Tullio) goody bar leavers(frame has down tube cable stop
braze-ons) brooks saddle, and Medici aero waterbottle and cage. Chrome on
frame is in excellent cond.No dents, clean. Standard Medici lugs (look like
clunky Confente's ; thanks Bill Recht). Has the Confente (style, type)tiny
diameter top tube cable guides(thanks again Bill). I spoke to Gian Simonetti
,formally of Medici,@ the bike a year ago and he said he remembered building
show bikes of this type. Seat tube 54 ctr. to ctr., top tube 55.5 ctr.to
ctr., chainstay 43.5. Yellow lettering, cablehousing,wb. Ready to ride. Jpegs
avail. Good home only to a special but abused piece of cycling history. She
could be grand again. The full story of how I came upon this little beauty
goes to her next caretaker. . Everything $750.00 plus actual shipping.
