Subject: [CR]Campagnolo BB Thick/Thin Question?

For most this will be Intro to BBs 101, but I just never had to deal with it until now... I have an Ochsner frame that I want to build up with a bunch of leftover Campagnolo NR/SR parts (My original goal was to build it up as a non-Campagnolo early 80's budget racer ie Ofmega, Zeus, Gipiemme parts - the kind of bike my parents made me ride when I first started racing. but I've given up trying to hunt down all the parts!). So Campagnolo it is (Take that mom!). My only problem is the BB. Both the shell and BB are Italian. The Shell is 70mm, the spindle is 70-SS. But the Adjustable cup does not thread in far enough to secure the spindle. There's still about .5 - 1.0mm of play left. The adjustable cup is 15mm wide. Is the issue "thick" vs "thin" Adj. Cups that I sometimes read about here, and therefore I need a different Adj. Cup? How do I tell which one I have? Or do I have the wrong spindle?? FWIW the threads and shell are prepped and clean and don't seem to be the problem. Thanks for any help you can give. Dan Tedford San Francisco "We need a heat wave", CA
