I was under the impression that topics for discussion included lightweight bikes before 1983 and any modern bikes made in the classic tradition that follow along those paths. So I think but am not positive that a lugged Rivendell is on topic for this list.

I'm sorry, but aren't Rivendell frames off-topic for this newsgroup? After all, there were no Rivendells made before 1983.
