Oscar Egg (Switzerland) became famous for his Hour Record exploits during the teens when he took the record from Marcel Berthet (France) three different times between 1912 and 1914! Berthet first held the record in 1907, and then twice again in 1913.

He had a line of bicycles under his own name and also a line of parts under the name Super Champion and (named for obvious reasons). The Osgear Super Champion derailleur was the first to be allowed in the TdF (1937).
