The Lambert crankarms may have been mad by TA, as perhaps were the rings. They have the same bolt circle, but as you say, the Lambert rings have a different pattern, featuring very large circular cutouts. My Lambert has the untapered axle, and the corresponding internal crankarm surfaces, usually called "crankarm tapers" are therefore not tapered at all. Lambert was a brave, if sometimes dumb, attempt to break with convention. The untapered axles were a bad idea, and the aluminum forks turned out to be so, though I don't think there was much previous experience to predict the problems with the forks.
