Mark Nobilette was one of three founding owners of the old Cycle Cellar store here in Ann Arbor, and Mark built out of the back room at Cycle Cellar for quite a few years. I am not sure of exactly when Mark moved to Colorado, but I believe it was around 1992-94. The Cycle Cellar store went out of business about five years ago. As far as quality etc., I can't really speak on that. I believe fellow CR listmember Greg Parker has a Nobilette tandem for sale, so perhaps he can shed more light on quality etc.

Anyone have any opinions or stories to share about Nobilette bikes? I realize that they (Mark) is still in business, just curious if there are any owned by the list members and what their opinion of this builder's work might be. A friend in town has an '81 (that I've not seen) and he believes it's "a spectacular piece of American workmanship".
Thoughts?
