My experience is limited to my '82 Olmo Competition. It's red (like the best Italian bikes and race cars :-) ) with yellow trim, and complete with the gaudy panto'd parts! To my untrained eye, the workmanship is good. The chrome on the fork crown is a bit rough, but the whole bike appears to have been exposed to the elements, so it may not be the bike's problem. For me, the bike rides great!
My knowledge of Olmo is limited, but I believe they were building bikes at least as early as the 60's. I seem to recall someone saying that Olmo built a broad range of bikes, not just racing bikes.
I'd also like to hear how Olmo compared to its peers.
