In the voice of Ralph Wiggum "I ride a bike." I don't care what kind
of bike you ride just ride the damn thing. Many days I just the 6-8
miles of work commute and after work store run. A couple times a
week I do the 25 miles into town and back and maybe once a week I'll
go on a "ride" and 40 miles. Anymore I don't have the time to do an
all day 100, I haven't had a 25,000 mile year in quite a few years.
But you know what, I'm on my bike every day with few exceptions. You
know what else. . . .I don't care what bike it's on. It could be on
my fixed-gear "demountable" with a really loose headset, or one of
the totally unclassic Bike Fridays I built myself, or some "classic"
bike. I never know which one I'm going to ride until about a minute
before I leave, because to me it really doesn't matter. Maybe I
don't care about donating a bike to a museum to just hang because to
me it's about the ride. The bike doesn't matter it's all about the
ride.
