Tell it like it is Chuck. Even if Lance knew he could win the Tour on a bike that was three pounds overweight, why would he add to his own burden? Even if it was a foregone conclusion that he would win, why would he want to suffer just that little bit more on the climbs? By the same token, even if I will certainly "loose" the next group ride, why would I not give myself a fighting chance by having a bike that is at least comparable to what everyone else rides. While I think it's cool that you and other CR members ride your collection, I think I'm just too damn weak to do without all the extra gears, and "hands free" shifting. Of course, when it comes to weight I try not to worry about the odd pound or two, since I carry at least one framesworth of excess flab on my gut... but Lance sure doesn't. Tom Dalton Bethlehem, PA
