Mr. Van Ghent owned The Big Wheel bike shop in east Denver. It was one of the big shops in Denver during the 70's and helped support the local racing scene. I bought two Gitane Tour de France bikes from him at about $215 each. I spent most of my money at American Cyclery on S. Broadway though since it was much closer. They sold Mondias and Paramounts.
