For those that looked at the preview for the auction that took place in Chicago this weekend, the sales results are now all posted. More than half of the lots did not sell, but a number of 'interesting' sales did take place including an Urago for $4000 plus auction fees (probably went to Japan) The results have restored my faith in my fellow collector's good sense, because the forecast prices almost all seemed absurdly high. To see all of the bikes go unsold shows to me that there is some logic out there. They had a very nice Wilier Triestina with Campagnolo Corsa gear that did not sell (lot 2004). It doesn't say whether because of a minimum not being met or because no bids were received.
