Subject: [CR]Lightweight Bicycle Tubing - Some Reference Sources

Hello all, I've had several people ask about the metallurgical composition of frame tubing from the various high quality tubing manufacturers. Rather than send out multiple emails on an individual basis, here are some internet links that may be of interest:

For general info on Reynolds tubing: http://www.reynoldsusa.com/indexb.html

A good chemical composition breakdown of "753" and "531" is at: http://www.reynoldsusa.com/mnmo/mnmo.html

Some interesting Columbus reading, but no metallurgy specs I could find: http://www.columbustubi.com/english/

A good chart of several tubing manufacturer's products, with gauge and weight specs (but no metallurgy specs) is at: http://www.desperadocycles.com/The_Lowdown_On_Tubing/Tubing_Properties_For_N on_True_Temper_Tubing.htm

Only Reynolds seems to publish their specs on the internet. I would be curious myself to see how they compare to Columbus and Vitus and some of the other quality tubing manufacturers. If anyone out there has more information, I would welcome them sending it to me or - better yet - posting it to this list for everyone's benefit. Thanks,
