Hi there,
How many of you are Familar with the Multi tubed Bugatti Bicycle Frame design
by Ettore Bugatti.
This is just an idea at the moment, But I plan to make some Replica's of the
frame from the copy of the original Drawing I have.
This has been an objective of mine for a long time now. Ever since I made a
replica of Carlo Bugatti's bicycle about 10 years ago.
This is now in the Bugatti Museum at Prescott speed hill climb in the
cotswolds/England. The now owner of the bicycle has Ettore's Original Chain
Drive Hill Climb Bugatti that he used to drive to events such as Mont Ventoux
ect ect( this is also in the Museum).
This bicycle has also done a tour of Europe with an Excibition dedicated to
the Bugatti Family.
I know of at least 2 copys of the multi tubed frame here in England. And I
bleive they were made by Art Stump.
I have ridden one of these, and It was altogeter a real treat to ride. The
Tubing Whistles to you as you ride.
I beleive stump had to reinforce the frame with cross bracing to strengthen
the frame, which helped, but was not to the original design.
The reason for this email is just to see if there is any interest out there,
if I were to make them, and also give me an idea of the quatity of materials
required. Silver solder/ Tubing ect ect.
Let me Know if this is of interest to you.
All the best Tim Gunn
