if we are going to continue this 'ebay/derosa under the microscope' thing, can it be limited to the provenance of the bicycle and or the academic discussion of the possibility that it is/isn't a derosa. this would be more 'high-road' than heaping on the seller. yes-he most likely asks for it. yes-he's probaly ignorant of the CR list and the zeal with which it pursues the classic bicycle hobby. yes-he's probably sorry he ever listed it. but, sheesh, enough of the innuendo. if you guys wanna dish, and troll for like-minded thinking, rec.bicycles is the ideal place. personally, i think there's too much piling on going on here. otoh, i will say this: you don't have to dial italy to recognize from the gitgo* that this is not a derosa. this has been clear since post number one. everything else seems a tangent to a thread making the seller look stupid. just my opinion. e-RICHIE chester, ct * ...'just wanted to use 'gitgo' in a sentence today.
