Re:[CR]Masi GC and Prestige

(Example: Framebuilders:Alberto Masi)

Richie answered the below question about the availability of the lugs, but does anyone know about the California GC graphics? Was the Prestige considered essentially a GC in design, but with a different name? I know we've discussed the years of manufacture for the Prestige before. It seems to me that they debuted about mid-70s and Wayne Bingham has the earliest one I've seen. I believe they ended their run in early 80s and the brake bridge and a few other bits had changed during the course of the production. I love my Prestige by the way--it is the bike I rode with Mark Poore when we recently rode the Claxton GA ride. It is Italian racing red with one of Richard Sachs super nice red leather Regal saddles. Ooolala. Also, I am the proud owner of the pre-owned Baylis that was outed on CR in October 2002. It arrived with bows and ribbons yesterday. I've waxed it but haven't yet decided on what parts to put on it to replace the early 90s Ergo parts that came with it. Lou Deeter, Orlando FL
