I remember that article. Sadly, I no longer have any of my old issues of Bicycling, so I can't go check said article. But, if memory serves, the cable routing was on the right side, which required an odd bend in the housing to mate up with the left-side attachment on the Universals. The author wondered if why Mondia didn't spec a Weinmann caliper instead. This is, of course, from memory, and could be totally wrong. ;-)
