Hi all, many thanx for all the offers for a 26.6mm seatpost. In all realality I will most likely either find something cheap while on holiday and or machine up an old NR post here, the bike cost me less than $30.00 and had a lot of campagnolo, CS, hubs, SR RD.
A good friend decided he needed some exercise so I offered to build up this small frame for him, for his use while in Invercargill, I had the frame at work catching dust, and had thrown away the seatpost that it came with, it was not a good post at all, I never intended to build it up.
I just wanted the parts, the hubs are 36 hole and real nice as was the SR RD, modern style, its in the rebuild box, as are the hubs, might get done when I get back from holidays.
As for the frame, someone gave it a real thick coat of paint, but at the end of the day it has nice lugwork, chrome forks I'm not sure are original, looks like maybe some sort of platic headset, its staying for now, but its life has been well and truely used up. Has lots of braze ones, but the paint is so thick am unable to see any details on the dropouts and a serial #, I am sure the BB is english threaded, when I first saw it I did think english maybe french, maybe one day I'll stripe the paint and find out, wee have a little sandblasting gun at work, well I have talked enough for now.....regards wayne davidson Invercargill NZ
