The "California" graphics were Italian source decals.

The cast lugs were made by "Microfusione" in Italy. Saw a picture of part of their facility, they were using American made equipment!

The change in decal placement mentioned by eRichie came around after 1978. EXCEPT therw were some American Flag bands used in 1976.
